2020 Kia Soul

Let’s face it – gas isn’t cheap. If you’re planning on putting a lot of miles on your next vehicle, you’re no doubt thinking about fuel economy. Maybe that’s why so many Leland drivers are raving about the Kia Soul gas mileage. We think the 2020 Kia Soul MPG EPA estimates are pretty impressive, too. The Kia Soul fuel economy is determined by a few different factors, and the friendly folks at Coastal Kia of Wilmington will be happy to walk you through all of them.

Kia Soul Gas Mileage – by the Specs

There are two factors that impact the Kia Soul fuel economy: transmission and wheel size. For example, the automatic (Intelligent Variable Transmission) performs better than either of the manual transmissions (only available on the Soul LX and the Soul GT-Line Turbo). And the 17 inch wheels(standard only on the Kia EX) delivers better gas mileage than the 18 inch wheel. So let’s break out the Kia Soul MPG by transmission, trim, and wheel size (mpg numbers represent city/highway/combined):

  • 6–Speed Manual Transmission
    • LX – 25/31/27 mpg
  • Intelligent Variable Transmission
    • LX – 27/33/30 mpg
    • S – 27/33/30 mpg
    • GT-Line – 27/33/30 mpg
    • X-Line – 27/33/30 mpg
    • EX (standard 17 in. wheels) – 29/35/31 mpg
    • EX (optional 18 in. wheels) – 27/33/30 mpg
  • 7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission
    • GT-Line Turbo – 27/32/29 mpg

Kia Soul MPG – Look at the Trim

If it’s the Kia Soul gas mileage numbers that attract you to this impressive vehicle, you’ll want to look at the model or trim of the car you’re thinking about buying. As you can see from the data above, the EX with 17-inch wheels deliver the best Kia Soul fuel economy. Here are the different trims listed with their starting MSRP (check out our new vehicle deals for more options):

  • LX – $17,490
  • S – $20,290
  • GT-Line – $20,290 (popular with Carolina Beach drivers)
  • X-Line – $21,490
  • EX – $22,690
  • GT-Line Turbo – $27,490
