If you prefer having several options to choose from in your next SUV, the new Kia Sorento is sure to please. This crossover offers five different trim configurations that Wilmington, Leland, and Topsail Beach drivers can choose from. While each configuration delivers its own outstanding performance and features, the most popular Kia Sorento trim levels continue to be the Kia Sorento LX and Kia Sorento EX. You can find each in our inventory of new Kia cars for sale.
Coastal Kia is here to break down these two incredible SUVs to help you determine which is better for you!
One of the first things you’ll want to look at when comparing the Kia Sorento LX and EX is the starting price. As you’ll quickly notice, the Kia Sorento LX is a slightly more cost-effective option. That’s due in large part to savings at the pump, with the LX achieving an estimated 24 mpg in fuel economy in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.* But the EX posts respectable numbers in its own right.
No matter which of these Kia Sorento trim levels you select, you’ll have access to front-wheel (FWD) drive or all-wheel drive (AWD) options that offer strong performance with various engine configurations. Under the hood of the EX, you’ll find a new 2.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that generates 281 horsepower and 311 lb.-ft. of torque. The LX, in contrast, produces 191 horsepower and 181 lb.-ft. of torque.
Another reason both of these Kia Sorento trim levels are so popular is the fact that, no matter which you end up with, you’ll find advanced standard interior features such as remote keyless entry, a 6-speaker sound system, a tilt steering column, and third-row seating. Although, if you opt for the EX trim, you will also discover several more features that are only optional on the LX, including:
