I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Coastal Kia of Wilmington. I have video showing two employees inside my vehicle—one driving my car and another sitting in the passenger seat. The video shows the passenger employee picking up my personal bag, opening it, going through it, removing my flashlight, turning it on, examining it, and then putting it back in my bag. I brought this matter to management’s attention, and management reviewed the video. I was told that the employee who went through my belongings was suspended for one day, while the employee who was driving my vehicle was written up. In my opinion, that disciplinary response does not adequately address the seriousness of what happened. Customers should be able to leave their vehicles at a dealership without worrying about employees going through their personal belongings without permission. I believe stronger disciplinary action should have been taken, along with meaningful steps to ensure this does not happen to another customer. This experience has seriously damaged my trust in Coastal Kia of Wilmington, and I hope management takes this matter more seriously going forward.

The staff was friendly all over the organization. I work with Travis while there he was informatiand easy to talk to. He was definitely patient with me while I deciding which vehicle I was going to go home with. Travis remained in communication the next day to ensure that I was satisfied with the car and the insurance was taken care of. I will say dealership wise the cars would be much more appealing if they were washed and not covered in bird droppings or dusty and hard to see the true color of the vehicle. Additionally working through the interest rate and what bank before going to the financial department or while in the financial department would have also been a strong plus. Overall a decent selection and experience

The work done is fine, but the waiting area WIFI is COMPLETELY UNUSABLE! I have to take time to go to the service center and usually spend my time working while waiting on my car. The internet is SO BAD (it seems like it only gives you access for 3 seconds at a time, causing pretty much ANY remote work to come to a grinding halt, if you can even get started!). Next time I'll ask to be shuttled to a Starbucks!

From the phone call to schedule a major maintenance, to working through needed questions - and getting quality responses to a good explanation of all the items to cover- Gary was the person to do it all. Even the estimate of time was accurate. Kudos to all. Sorry, I do not know then name of the person who provided service when I first called and who then switched me to Gary, but she also was very good.
