This is the third vehicle purchased from Coastal KIA. My first but my fiance purchased her last 2 vehicles from Coastal. The main reason I purchased my Sorento is due to the fact that Steve Kramer makes it so easy to make it happen. The particular model I wanted was not available on the lot but Steve located one and after delivery I was in and out in a couple of hours. Mike Mascavage was very precise and helped me navigate through the paperwork. I appreciate the time and effort put in to make my purchasing experience a great one.

I had the best car shopping experience of my life at Coastal Kia! The entire staff was incredibly helpful and super friendly. I worked closely with Steve Kramer, the floor sales manager, and he is most definitely the best dealer that I have ever worked with. I was able to learn so much information from him and he was able to help me choose a car that fit my budget extremely well. Financial director Mike Mascavage did everything he could in order to make sure my service contract was completely reasonable for my budget. I also worked with another floor sales manager named Uber Hernández who was very helpful through the process as well as Kelvin Swinson, one of the amazing product specialists that I had the honor of meeting. This is an amazing car dealership to work with and they actually take the time to make sure that you’re making the right decision for yourself. I started this process by myself, completely full of anxiety, and the entire staff was very comforting and I was able to build strong connections with them. This is such a great dealership, working with them will be a rewarding experience for anyone. I highly recommend going to them!

This is my second purchase from Coastal Kia. Have used the service department for the past 3 years. Sales teams have always been friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Even during the current COVID19 situation, I was treated professionally and safely. Never any undue pressure to purchase. Jason Stone whom I dealt with for my transaction was straight forward with financial options on both my trade and new purchase. Didn't have to spend hours in negotiations. Final paper work with the finance manager was also professional and easy. Kia, presently has good purchasing options. Regardless if you purchase or not, you will be respected and treated fairly.

On October, 05, 2019, I purchased a 2019 Optima Ex from Coastal Kia. I did not have the car a week and malfunctions started to pop up on my dashboard screen repeatedly. The vehicle would immediately dial for help and read it was sending my location out or it would tell me to contact a Kia technician. I took pictures of these different screen alerts. I dropped my car off to Coastal Kia to have it looked at and they said they could not find anything wrong. They said the car is safe to drive. I picked up the car and drove it around for a few more weeks and the screen alerts started happening again plus the car was not idling properly. Dropped it off to Kia once again. Picked up the car and they told me again they could not find anything wrong electronically with the car. They did however find an idle problem and corrected it. They said it was safe to drive. Drove the car some more and the entire dash lit up malfunctioning and the automatic collision brakes deployed causing my car to abruptly to stop. This is without another car in sight of mine. Took pictures of the dashboard. Dropped the car off to Kia. This time they told me it was a bad clutch in the Alternator that was causing my car to do these things. They said the car is safe to drive. Picked up the car again. They informed me it was safe to drive. Drove the car and the collision brakes deployed again with nothing in sight of me once again. Dropped the car off to Kia again. After a long period of time they again told me they could not find anything wrong and that Kia said if they can not replicate the problem there is nothing they can do. They informed me the car was safe to drive. Picked the car up and drove it two miles and the brake system activated again, the entire dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree, notifying me everything was wrong. The screen lit up telling me I had multiple conditions going on with my vehicle, that I need to get it to a KIA dealership. I drove the vehicle right back to the dealership with all the lights engaged on the dashboard and the screen. They hooked the computer up to the car immediately and retrieved error codes. Coastal Kia has had my vehicle for over a month on and off to try and correct these dangerous problems. On Tuesday, April 28, 2020, they told me to come pick up the vehicle. I arrived at the dealership and asked to speak to Pat Koballa. Pat sent Peggy his assistant out to talk to me. Peggy listened to my concerns about my family's and my safety in driving this dangerous vehicle. Peggy suggested I should get out of the vehicle and in to a new one. She also said they would work to make this better for me. I was told by the salesman that he can get me into a 2020 Optima for the same payment I have now with nothing down. I told him that would be great, that I feel unsafe driving a vehicle that the brakes deploy when they feel like it. I test drove a 2020 SE Optima. When I came back to the Sales floor my payment would be $600 a month with an additional $1500 down. My payment now is $367 a month. I asked him about what he had told me about keeping my same payment. He said, " I said I might be able to get you in a 2020 for that payment". Then they sent a floor manager to talk to me who said this was not the dealers problem and that if I took an 84 month payment it almost comes to my current monthly payment. They refused to fix this problem without charging me any additional money. I walked out. I have owned 4 Kia's over the years with my last two purchased from Pat Koballa's Coastal Kia. In addition I have personally referred 5 people who purchased cars from Pat's dealership. My son wanted to buy a new Kia in the next two months. We will no longer buy a car from Coastal Kia nor will I ever refer my friends again. Pat Koballa you have lost a customer.

Great experience but...

The only complaint we have is how many times yall hit our credit report. I walked in with a prequalified letter from Capital One and I handed it to our sales person. He was great but when we gave him our information to "enter it in to your system" it immediately hit our credit report and I believe you hit my husbands report 7 times and mine 3. We were told by Capital One to hand you the letter we had with the pre-approval number on it and that is all we needed. Being very conscious of our report since we just purchased a house your practice destroyed our credit for up to 2 years by doing that many hard pulls. If we didn't love the truck we would have walked away. The sales guy said they wouldn't pull the credit but only from Capital One but that was incorrect. Going forward we will secure our financing before coming to your dealership if we purchase again and come in with a check.

Held hostage

Appraisal manager got my car key from service dept,. I needed to get home by noon!, sales refused to give me my key. All of a sudden Uber appeared did not introduce himself and showed me a piece of scrap paper w/ a car payment of $550. I can only afford $350. I asked again for my car key. Uber refused. I am so angry that i paid full sticker price, i will not buy again in three years from Coastal Kia.

great experience

We brought in our Sorento for service and ended up buying a new car. Sam in service was as usual very attentive. On the sales end, this was the 5th Kia we have purchased. The experience we had with Jake by far was the best we have had!
